On July 22-23, the "2010 China International Summit Forum on Copper & Cobalt Resources" hosted by China Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) with support from Congo Embassy and Zambia Embassy in China was held in Beijing. Among those present at the forum were relevant leaders from CASS, Ministry of Commerce of PRC (MOFCOM), China Non-ferrous Metals Industry Association (CNIA) and China Battery Industry Association (CBIA), Zambia ambassador and commercial counselor, as well as representatives from over 60 copper and cobalt enterprises, research institutes, futures companies, brokers and media.

Such topics as industry status, development strategy, macro policy on import and export, overseas mineral resources status and investment policies, were discussed, and an awarding ceremony for the best growing copper & cobalt enterprises was held at the forum. Wanbao Mining Limited, a subsidiary of NORINCO, won the title of "2010 Top 10 Growing Cobalt Enterprises".

The top 10 growing copper & cobalt enterprises were selected by China Industries & Enterprises Competitiveness Research Center, CASS.
