On September 22, the disaster relief goods donated by NORINCO for the flood-stricken area in Pakistan were shipped in emergency from Tianjin Port to the disaster area in Pakistan.

In July, Pakistan suffered a great disaster brought by floods, and the area and number of people hit by the disaster are rare in history, with the degree of the disaster exceeding that of Indian Ocean Tsunami in 2004 and the South Asia Earthquake in 2005. A friendly neighbor and all-time friend of our country, Pakistan is a major traditional military trade market of NORINCO. At the time of disaster in Pakistan, the company determined to donate a shipment of disaster relief goods in urgent need to Pakistan to show our care and support for the Pakistani government and its people and further enhance the time-tested Sino-Pakistan friendship.

In order to ship the donated goods to the flood-hit area in Pakistan as soon as possible and enable affected people to live in house and drink clean water soon, relevant departments of the company acted quickly and purchased 500 tents and 10 water purification vehicles and shipped them to the flood-hit area in Pakistan on September 22.

We hope the tents and water purification facilities imprinted with flags of Chin and Pakistan, NORINCO and HIT, the partner of NORINCO in Pakistan, can arrive at Pakistan soon with friendship and love from NORINCO staff, making due contributions to helping the affected people restore production and normal life and rebuild their homes.
